How Can One Of Us Be Happy?

An anthropologist suggested a game to some kids in an African tribe. He put a basket of fruit near a tree and told them that whoever got to the basket first would win the fruit. When he told them to run, they all took hands and reached the tree together. They each took a piece of fruit and sat down enjoying their treats. He asked them why they didn’t try to run faster to get all the fruit for just them. They said, “How can one of us be happy when the others are sad?”
